Cooler Temps and Even Cooler Events This Weekend

Let’s not hold our breath that the cooler temps are around to stay for good quite yet, but this weekend is going to be beautiful, so take advantage of it and get out and enjoy!  Connect with nature at a state park (make sure to stay hydrated), scavenge through a 26-mile long yard sale, explore The Secret Garden through a musical, enjoy downtown festivals and celebrations and so much more. Good music, good food, and great memories to be made, so get out and explore this weekend in the Natural State.

Take a Child Outside – Mena

Queen Wilhelmina State Park is inviting the public to take part in connecting children to the natural world as part of a growing nationwide effort geared toward getting young people unplugged from technology and enjoying the outdoors in their local community. 10th Annual Get Down Downtown Festival – Searcy

The 10th annual Get Down Downtown festival is a free-admission, outdoor event in historic downtown Searcy. The event features live music/ performances including Grammy-nominee Little Texas, kid-friendly activities, and more than 100 vendors and concessions. The free-admission festival kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Secret Garden – Arkadelphia

This children’s literature classic is a short 70 minute musical based on the novel by Francis Hodgson Burnett.
