Arkansas Paranormal Expo 2014

T

This year’s Arkansas Paranormal Expo, a fundraiser for the McArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, will feature vendors, psychics, book authors and speakers offering information about those subjects and much more.

4th Annual Paranormal Expo

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and admission is only $5.00 for adults (kids 12 and under get in free!). In addition to vendors selling books, products and gift items with a paranormal theme, several groups that investigate paranormal activity will be on-hand to share some of their best evidence. The event has grown each year and new this year will be the MacArthur Museum Front Lawn Fair, which will be more vendors, food and fun.

The location of the symposium, the historic Tower Building of the Little Rock Arsenal, is on the National Register of Historic Buildings. It was built in 1840, was the birthplace of General Douglas MacArthur, and is itself reported to be the site of many unusual encounters. Several groups have investigated the building over the years, and visitors and employees have reported smelling the lingering scent of perfume and hearing faint piano music coming from the 2nd floor ballroom when no one is in the room.

Speakers at this year’s Paranormal Expo include Alan Lowe, author of Supernatural Arkansas and The Ghosts of Little Rock; Carol Pate, well-known psychic; Adrian Scalf, leader of River Valley Paranormal Research & Investigation; and Rick Marshall, founder of Paranormal Ozarks Investigation.
