Romantic Surprise Weekend in Hot Springs

F

For my birthday, my husband astonished me with the most romantic, unexpected getaway. I had no idea where we were going or what magical plans awaited me as we made our way to Hot Springs, Arkansas.

We arrived at The Carriage House of The Spring Street Inn. This was our first time to stay at a bed and breakfast, and I was blown away at the beautiful decor: the perfect mixture of modern and antique. The main house is stately and elegant and just behind the main house was our beautiful and intimate carriage house. We were welcomed by delicious chocolate covered strawberries, a thoughtful note welcoming us to the carriage house, and the ideal setting for a romantic night away. Every inch of the guest house was methodically and perfectly planned for relaxation and luxury.

My husband continued my weekend of bliss by making reservations at Central Park Fusion Cuisine. He knows I love amazing food and new experiences. The eclectic atmosphere and seventies style dining could have never prepared me for the culinary masterpiece I was about to enjoy. The presentation and flavor of our meals was a beautiful partnership of artistry and splendor. Central Park Fusion Cuisine is a must for anyone visiting the Spa City.

 Romantic Downtown-Hot-Springs

From dinner, we strolled through the historic shops and attractions of downtown Hot Springs. We admired the art galleries, shops, and people who make Hot Springs such a treasured gem in the Natural State. The next morning, our breakfast was served at The Spring Street Inn. We woke and went downstairs to our private kitchen to find a full homemade breakfast, hot and waiting especially for us. The privacy we had, coupled with the Inn’s attention to detail, made for a perfectly quaint birthday surprise.

Romantic Quapaw Baths

As if the weekend were lacking anything, after breakfast my husband offered me the grand finale of our weekend away. He had prearranged a Couple’s Deep-Tissue massage at the acclaimed Quapaw Bath & Spas. It was one hour of pure heaven. The spa staff was attentive and professional and provided us with a luxurious spa experience.

Our time in Hot Springs concluded with lunch at the delicious Brick House Grill. The Brick House Grill was only a short walk from the bathhouse and is filled with old-time charm and character; attributes that truly bring Hot Springs to life. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or for an extended vacation filled with relaxation, romance, gourmet food, and grandeur, make Hot Springs, Arkansas your next vacation spot. Your wife will thank you.
