Steinhaus Keller is a perfect name for this two-year-old German establishment. Translated from German to English, the name of the restaurant literally means stone cellar. Owners David McGuire and Amanda Mitchell have really outdone themselves by transforming the previously occupied space into an authentic and fun culturally themed German atmosphere.
October 2nd and 3rd, Steinhaus Keller will be hosting their own Oktoberfest. Dubbed the “Wurst Party in Hot Springs,” David and Amanda invite everyone to practice their yodel and don their lederhosen while gathering at their haus for food, bier and music.
Steinhaus Keller offers the largest selection of German beer in Arkansas. Enjoy one of the many draft beers out in the Biergarten, served by resident bartender Bret. If you want to stick to German tradition, try the Spaten Oktoberfest on tap. It’s the world’s first Oktoberfest beer.
Pair your beer with one of the many appetizers available. Try the Giant Bavarian Pretzel served with bier cheese or the Saurkraut Cakes served with creamy horseradish sauce.
Want to go all-out? Try one of the many schnitzels or platters. Bring your appetite, though. The portions are huge.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert. The German Chocolate Cake (Schokolade Kuchen) is to die for.
Bring your friends, family, your appetite and your dancing shoes. Oktoberfest at Steinhaus Keller is a party you won’t want to miss.
Steinhaus Keller is located at 801 Central Ave in Hot Springs, Arkansas in the lower level of Spencer’s Corner.
