Mardi Gras is just around the corner and you can let the good times roll all weekend long with great events around the state. Enjoy concerts, plays, and parades. Don’t miss the costume contests or the flower show!

Titanic: The Musical

Titanic: The Musical Book by Peter Stone Music and Lyrics by Maury Yeston. Directed by Jamie Scott Blakey and Sarah Scott Blakey Music Direction by Jeannie Scott Cross SYNOPSIS Winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Titanic is set on the ocean liner RMS Titanic which sank on its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912. So many dreams; humankind striving after great artistic work and technological feats, third class to immigrate to America for a better life, second class to live a leisured lifestyle in imitation of the upper classes, first class to maintain their privileged position all dashed simultaneously in the collision with the iceberg to bring about the transformation of character of the passengers and crew. The Box Office and the theater open one (1) hour prior to curtain. The House opens 30 minutes prior to curtain.

Fayetteville Mardi Gras Parade

Fayetteville Mardi Gras celebrates its 26th anniversary of merriment and mayhem this year! The family-friendly Fat Saturday Parade of Fools kicks off at 2 p.m. winding from the Fayetteville Square down Block and Dickson Streets, and ending in the parking lot at West and Dickson. A new event for ages 18 and up highlights participating businesses in the downtown district on Tuesday, February 28th.
