Gingiber Brings Handmade Touch to Nurseries

I

In a small storefront in historic Downtown Springdale is a quaint shop specializing in hand-illustrated nursery home decor items. Stacie Bloomfield is the artist and the products that she sells at her store, Gingiber, are really special.

With products available at over 200 retailers worldwide, Gingiber is a small business with a big reach. Perhaps the most recognizable store at which her products can be found is Land of Nod, a Crate and Barrel company. Bloomfield’s bedding was recently featured on Martha Stewart’s website. Recognition doesn’t get much better than that.

Gingiber began the way many successful business do: with a problem. After the birth of her first child, Bloomfield could not find nursery art that she liked for her daughter’s room. A lifelong doodler, she decided to create her own. Gingiber was born out of a desire for good art and continues 6 years later with inspired animal sketches that are beautifully simple.

A mom of three now, Bloomfield moved to Springdale in 2015 and opened her first brick and mortar store at 323 E. Emma Avenue. Stacie loves Springdale because she feels there is a lot of room for creatives and small business owners in this up and coming area. She has a wide variety of products available in-store and online. Wall art, animal pillows, dish towels and totes have been popular products and Gingiber just released a new line of paper goods including gift wrap and greeting cards.

For the upcoming holidays Stacie Bloomfield has been kind enough to offer her customers a real treat. Limited edition reindeer pillows are now available on the Gingiber website as well as adorable holiday and Christmas cards. Stacie also maintains her original etsy store with all kinds of gift items. If you were to ask her what her favorite product is, she would tell you how much she loves her printed flour sack cotton tea towels, which are made and printed in the USA. The brick and mortar Gingiber store is open Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00am to 2:00 pm, but you can shop in the wee hours of the morning, or late at night on her etsy shop or Gingiber.com.
