There’s a lot to celebrate in Northeast Arkansas!

Many of the Natural State’s hidden gems call Northeast Arkansas home. Stunning state parks, historic sites in music history and more make for some of Arkansas’ most unique attractions in what is often mistaken as the quiet corner of the state.

What to do

Visit Northeast Arkansas to walk where legends did – the likes of Johnny Cash, Ernest Hemingway and even the Beatles all have connections to this region of the state. Visit Cash’s boyhood home in Dyess, see the barn where Hemingway wrote portions of A Farewell to Arms in Piggott or learn about the unlikely night the Beatles spent in Walnut Ridge. There’s plenty to learn in this area of the state – visit the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum in Tyronza to learn about a piece of the Civil Rights Movement or the Hampson Archeological Museum State Park to get a hands-on look at the farming civilization that once populated our state. If you’re looking for an escape in the great outdoors, there’s no shortage of opportunities here – both above the ground and below. The Mississippi and White Rivers wind through the Delta, providing fishing and floating opportunities, while Blanchard Springs Caverns outside of Mountain View invites you to discover a hidden world in an underground “Living Cave.”
