Nola’s Pantry considers itself “Northwest Arkansas’s foodie playground,” and I admit the self-declared title fits. One part specialty shop, one part gift shop, one part coffee shop, one part breakfast spot and one part lunch spot all rolled up to one crucial trait – fun!
The shop at Nola’s Pantry is meant to feel like a pantry. They sell bulk spices, rubs, jams, syrups, teas, coffee and kitchen accessories. Whether you’re shopping for a special event, a gift basket or for tomorrow’s supper, it’s worth browsing to see what fun things are available and catch your eye.
You’ll be pleased to know that menu offerings often have a dip spread or ingredient in the pantry.
For example, I ordered a single skewer snack with turkey and brie. The dip that came with it was available for sale. All I had to do was ask about it, and they took me straight to the item. I also love that this allowed me to look at the ingredient list, which is very important.
Samples are also available, so please ask! They want you to have an interactive experience, so set any shyness aside. Their menu says, “We know how to play with food.” If this appeals to you, you’ve found your place!
Nola’s Pantry is located in historic downtown Rogers at the corner of Chestnut and 1st Street. Those familiar with downtown will recognize its location as being on the same block as Wesner’s Grill, Quality Pet and steps away from Onxy and Yeyos.
Nola’s Pantry was opened in 2022 by Bill and Alicen Rumsey, who call themselves “foodies and all-around adventurers.” The two met in 2017 in the community, and they opened Nola’s Pantry in memory of Bill’s mom, Nola.
Unsurprisingly, Nola’s Pantry is focused on “finding a better way to eat through the use of spices, healthy fats, unrefined salts and sugars.” They encourage stocking quality ingredients in our pantry so we can eat healthier! And when you’re out and about, you can feel good that you ate healthy at Nola’s. And deliciously, too.
Breakfast and lunch are served from 8 AM – 3 PM, Monday through Saturday. They have an entire specialty breakfast menu to suit all appetites, from Baked Oatmeal to “Brekky” tacos, burritos and bowls of Green Eggs Plate. This cheesy crustless quiche is my favorite, served with a cinnamon honey spread on toasted jalapeno cornbread or a small green salad.
Go with the bread, it’s fantastic.
And add a scoop of avocado for the whole “green’ experience!
If you’re not in the mood for breakfast and are feeling snacky, Nola’s Pantry has tons of offerings from four choices of a Single Skewer (this “snack” is quite filling!), Hummus, Dip and Veggies, a bean “Cowboy Caviar” and Tortilla Chips, and a Grazing Board for one, two or four.
Salads, grain bowls and Signature Sammie are also available, so you will never leave hungry on purpose.
For those times you’re not so hungry and want a place to crash for a while to relax, try a smoothie, coffee, tea or light dessert.
Nola’s Pantry has an adorable inside-outside patio if the weather is good. Little nooks with tables are tucked away throughout the restaurant and store. As I said earlier, Nola’s Pantry in historic downtown Rogers is a tucked-away, charming breakfast and lunch spot perfect for solo visits, dates, meetings, or group gatherings.
