Once upon a time, Bella Vista had a stunningly-situated restaurant on Marina Road that was only open to residents who were active members of the POA. Needless to say, the restaurant eventually closed, and the building sat empty for a long time.
In 2016, the POA decided to do something about this gem in their town. They renovated and gave the building a complete facelift, inside and out. Once completed, a new name was painted on the outside and the restaurant opened its door.
Best of all, this new restaurant was open to everyone. No POA card is necessary.
The largest lake in Bella Vista is Loch Lomond, situated on the west side of town in the neighborhood called The Highlands.
Lakepoint Restaurant is situated perfectly, nestled between the marina and the dam. I recommend you plan on strolling along the path that takes you from the shore to the marina and take in the views.
As you step inside the main dining room, you’ll quickly see that the restaurant is quite large, yet the atmosphere is very intimate. Lakepoint has an energetic and engaging bar area, outdoor patio, outdoor decks, booths and open seating areas. While the emphasis is on the view, the inside is stunning, too.
If you’re looking for a date night, this is your place. For now, the main dining room is only open Wednesday-Saturday, from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Plan accordingly!
In addition to the main dining room and the bar, there is a separate dining option called the Tasting Room. You can either sit inside or outside to enjoy the views.
The Tasting Room is open for lunch on Fridays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. During the rest of the week, the Tasting Room acts as an extension of the main dining room. It has the same food menu, yet the emphasis here is bar drinks. In particular, the Tasting Room offers wine, tequila, scotch and cordial flights.
From starters, salads, entrees, sandwiches and desserts, there is something for everyone. And when I say everyone – the menu is quite extensive!
Starters and salads range from fried mushrooms, grilled artichokes, bruschetta, tuna tacos, charcuterie boards to braised beets, Caesar and house salads.
If you’re looking for steaks, fish of all kinds, burgers and sandwiches or vegetarian options, they have them. And if you’re looking for lamb, they have it!
Crowd favorites are the crispy mushroom appetizers, blackened mahi-mahi, walleye fish and chips, the marina burger and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich.
While you’re at it, make room for dessert.
Every Thursday is All-Day Happy Hour (during open hours) and Third Thursday is live music. The last Wednesday of the month is Wine Down Wednesday, where every bottle of wine is half price.
At the end of the day, Lakepoint Restaurant in Bella Vista is unique because of its stunning location, numerous lake view seating options, extensive menu offerings, and delicious food and drink. Best of all, everyone is welcome. So please, check it out.
