art-garfunkel

Art Garfunkel: In Close-Up – Fayetteville

Although it has been over 40 years since “Bridge Over Troubled Water” was recorded, Art Garfunkel’s image and signature vocals remain among the most instantly recognizable in popular music. He has made an indelible mark on the music world as both a solo artist and as half of the unrivaled Simon & Garfunkel. After the best-selling duo parted ways in 1970, Garfunkel landed several major film roles, published a collection of poetry and began a trek across America on foot. But those experiences couldn’t keep him away from his true love: singing live in front of an audience. Performing for the first time on the Walton Arts Center stage, Garfunkel’s golden voice will send shivers down your spine.

The Elves and the Shoemaker – Little Rock

This holiday remake of the Grimm’s folktale tells the story of a poor cobbler with a good heart and a grateful spirit. Jack Shoemaker and his family have fallen on hard times. Jack’s debts are coming due with the new year, and his family’s chances of a happy Christmas are looking bleak. But just when he seems to be losing all hope, he receives a strange visit in the night. Elves grant a magical gift that reminds him what is truly important in life: family. And when that family gratefully returns the kind gesture, they are doubly blessed with the happiest, most love-filled Christmas ever. This traditional family favorite is ideal for the holiday season of giving.
