Red Barn Donuts in Rogers

SI1
R

Red Barn Donuts in Rogers is one of the most recognized, beloved and award-winning donut shops in Northwest Arkansas. It offers delicious, handcrafted treats for the whole family.

“We come here every Friday for The Weekender,” declared the cute young couple standing in line beside me. After driving past the Red Barn Donut building for years, I finally stepped inside. What did this young couple know that I didn’t know? They knew they had discovered something more than a donut shop.

More than a donut shop

Around seventeen years ago, the original owners dedicated themselves to making Red Barn Donuts one of the most recognized and beloved donut shops in Northwest Arkansas. Sure, you can pop into one of the many drive-thru donut shops and leave with a tasty treat, but would you leave feeling like you left one of the happiest places on earth?

Fast-forward to early springtime in 2022. Alicia Wiginton (and her husband Jeremy) purchased Red Barn Donuts from the original owners. She was determined not to skip a beat when delivering exceptional service and delicious donut offerings that loyal customers relied on.

Except now, Red Barn Donuts has one more special ingredient: Alicia! Expect to be greeted with perhaps one of the friendliest faces in Rogers! She will ensure that you have an excellent donut experience and will answer any questions you have.

Red Barn Donuts has been voted Best of NWA winner for Best Donut for 2021, 2022, and most recently for 2023!

Small batch, handcrafted

Every Monday through Saturday, Red Barn Donuts opens its doors at 4:00 AM, ready for customers. Alicia says she savors a homemade biscuit every morning when it comes hot out of the oven—that’s at 3:30 AM, mind you.

She and her dedicated team are hard at work, handcrafting yeast donuts, cake donuts, donut holes, apple fritters, long johns, cinnamon rolls, specialty donuts, gourmet donuts, kolaches, and biscuits and gravy.

Bring on the donuts!

If you’re like me, donuts are a treat. I know, I know… donuts can also be a daily life tradition, too! I know many who make a special donut run with their kiddos on their way to school every Friday morning or order a dozen to take to church coffee time or a weekly team practice. By all means, please try out Red Barn Donuts for those special times or weekly donut runs!

As mentioned earlier, Red Barn Donuts thrives on small batches and handcrafted delights. Their website lists a complete list of specialty donuts, and you can order (and pay for) ahead of time so that you can be sure you get what you want. This place is super popular, after all!

Prices are super reasonable, and you’ll want to try a little bit of everything, from glazed donuts to chocolate-covered, maple-covered, cake-donuts, Long Johns, twists, or gourmet donuts such as Snickers Donuts, Fruity Crunch, Samoas, Donuts, Mexican Chocolate Donuts, or Cookies and Cream.

Just come with a sweet tooth and a hearty appetite. And bring your friends. You know, so you won’t look like all those donuts are for yourself (who me? I’m certainly not judging).

But wait, there’s breakfast!

Red Barn also serves hot coffee (and specialty coffee drinks) and breakfast to balance things out. They make their own croissants, bagels, and biscuits! I highly recommend a simple egg and cheese biscuit.

And fun fact: breakfast sandwiches come with a side of a dozen donut holes!

Let’s talk about that HUGE donut!

Okay, maybe you haven’t heard about it yet, but you will. Or, you’ll be the one to tell everyone you know about the HUGE Family Donuts at Red Barn Donuts. These require 24-hour notice, so be sure to order by midnight the previous day before you pick these up.

This handmade and hand-cut family-sized donut is available in 6-inch, 9-inch and 12-inch sizes. I ordered the 9-inch for my nieces and nephews as a Spring Break surprise, and boy, were they surprised!

You can also order Donut Letters with your custom message, such as “Welcome Home,” “Congrats,” or “Will You Marry Me?” Or, change up a birthday surprise with a box of “Happy Birthday” donut letters.

Drive-thru, stay or leave… happy

Let’s face it. While everybody knows that donuts are happy food, not everybody knows about Red Barn Donuts in Rogers. It’s the next level of happy food.

Remember that cute young couple that comes in every Friday for The Weekender Roll? It’s worth it. This behemoth is more significant than my hand and *almost* bigger than my belly can take in. At $3.50, it’s worth the drive.
