Arkansas artists released more than 50 albums, EPs, and singles in the calendar year, and those are just the ones that we know of.
Most of the below list was created by our friend and Art Amiss Music Director Eric Jensen, who compiled all of the new music released by artists in Fayetteville, Little Rock, Russellville, and Fort Smith that he could find.
We added a couple records that we knew about as well, formatted the list below, and added audio embeds whenever possible to create what we hope is a pretty good snapshot of what’s happening music-wise around the state.
There’s indie rock, hip hop, metal, and alt country. Singers, songwriters, reggae, bluegrass, and electronic music.
This list isn’t meant to be comprehensive, as we know there is plenty that we missed, but it should give you a pretty good idea of what Arkansas sounded like in 2014.
