Read More about this safari issue. One of my favorite memories growing up as a child in Arkansas was the summertime treat of fresh baked peach cobbler topped off with homemade ice cream. The anticipation of waiting for the cobbler to come out of the oven and the ice cream to freeze was almost more than a kid could handle. There’s just something extra special about the combination of fresh picked Arkansas peaches with a buttery, crispy crust. And add a big ol’ spoon of hand cranked ice cream? You’ve got heaven in a bowl!
This month, we are highlighting an exceptionally good peach cobbler as well as a couple of wonderful homemade ice cream recipes. All three recipes can be found in the ‘Tasty Traditions’ section of What’s Cookin’ at First Security Cookbook. Order a copy today and dig into Arkansas goodness!
