Arkansas Cycling Events Coming Up In 2024

W

With warmer weather approaching, cyclists in Arkansas can start marking their calendars for the upcoming riding and racing season.

Dates and registration details have been emerging almost weekly since the middle of December, whether on social media or any of the popular registration websites.

Below is a look at the upcoming season (so far), including some old and new cycling events for those looking for some fun miles in 2024. If you’d like to add an event to this list, just let us know.

March 3 – Redemption Enduro / Eureka Springs / MTB

The Southern Enduro Tour continues its 3-state run with the Redemption Enduro at the Great Passion Play mountain bike trails in Eureka Springs on Sunday, March 3. Current prices range from $80 to $100 for competitors or $30 for a pass to ride the course for fun (register here).

March 9 – Cinnamon Roll / Goshen / Gravel

This free event, which is both a bike giveaway drive and a pre-ride to review portions of the Highlands Gravel Classic race course in April, is hosted by the City of Goshen along with Pedal It Forward (info here).

March 16-17 – Wildcat Marathon and Northwoods Enduro / Hot Springs / MTB

A full weekend of events is on tap March 16-17 in Hot Springs with the Wildcat Marathon mountain bike endurance races and the Northwoods Enduro, which is also part of the Southern Enduro Tour. March 23-24 – Ouachita Challenge / Hot Springs / Gravel & MTB

The Ouachita Challenge returns to Oden for a two-day event on March 23-24. Current prices range from $70 for the gravel grinder to $90 for the mountain bike race or $140 for both (register here).

There are a few spots left for those brave enough to tackle the annual DOOM event, which features a 400-mile (or shorter 200-mile) bike-packing race that starts and ends at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. Current prices range from $66.60 for returning Doomers or $100 for new souls (register here).
