Fireworks and Independence Day Celebrations Across Arkansas

There will be a lot of Arkansans traveling for the fourth of July weekend to celebrate our Independence with family and friends. But, no matter where you are in the state there will be a fireworks display close by! Check out this list of fireworks displays and Independence Day celebrations around the state.

North Central Arkansas

18th Annual Red, White & Blue Festival (Mountain Home)

The Red White & Blue Festival is a family-friendly, community festival set in the Ozark Mountains in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Over the years, the Red White & Blue Festival has become a tradition for locals and visitors alike. The festival offers a parade, rodeo, car show, concerts, kids activities, food, fireworks, and more. The highlight of the Festival is an amazing fireworks display on Saturday night on the Arkansas State University campus.

17th Annual Fireworks Display (Strawberry)

Strawberry, Arkansas will be having a show and shine car show, live entertainment, fireworks display,  a concession stand, and bounce houses this weekend. Plan to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the day.

City of Elkins Fireworks

The annual City of Elkins fireworks show will be this weekend. The concession stand will be open.

Rodeo of the Ozarks Parade and Fireworks (Springdale)

Head to Springdale to see a patriotic display of cowgirls, floats, bands, entertainment and candy for the kiddos at the Rodeo kick-off parade. Beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the rodeo grounds and proceeding west through downtown Springdale. The fireworks display will follow Saturday night’s Rodeo Performance.

Celebrate Prairie Grove

The 6th annual, “Celebrate Prairie Grove,” will be held Saturday, June 30th, at Rieff Park. The City Aquatic Park will be open free to the public from 7:00 to 9:00 and the Jr. Civic League will offer food and drink concession just outside the pool area. There will be fun for the kids in Rieff Park, with a bouncy house, slip and slide, and an obstacle course. At dark, around 9:15-9:20 the evening will conclude with a fantastic fireworks display to the south of the park.

City of Farmington Fireworks

Many watch the fireworks from the Farmington High School football field, which is near the corner of Double Springs Road and Rheas Mill Road.

Celebrate Mulberry (Mulberry)

Naturals 4th at the Field (Rogers)

Following the 6:30 p.m. baseball game, fans will be treated to the best in sight and sound at the 4th at the Field Fireworks Spectacular, the largest Fireworks Spectacular in Northwest Arkansas. Seating for 4th at the Field is all General Admission so the seating bowl will be available to fans on a first come, first serve basis.

4th of July Spectacular, Walmart AMP  (Rogers)

The Walmart AMP July 4th Fireworks Spectacular starts with a FREE family festival at 5 p.m., sponsored by the City of Rogers. There will be games, food and family fun! Then, celebrate America’s 243rd birthday with a patriotic concert by the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) and an exciting fireworks display by the City of Rogers. Gates open at 6 p.m., the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

105th Annual Gentry Freedom Fest (Gentry)

Head to Gentry for a 4th of July celebration. There will be concerts from noon until the fireworks show, which starts at dark. There will also be food, fun, a car show plus much more.

8th Annual Cardboard Boat Race & Independence Day Celebration (Ozark)

Cardboard boat races are always entertaining to watch! Head to Ozark to see the cardboard boats built by community members and then watch the race.  There will be food and art vendors, live music, games, and fun water play for all.

17th Annual Ventris Trail’s End Resort’s Fireworks Display (Garfield)

Make plans to watch thousands of fireworks light up the night’s sky at Beaver Lake while listening to patriotic music. This show is known as the largest firework display in Northwest Arkansas.  This display is intended to be seen by boat.

Sparks In The Park (Texarkana)

Sparks in the Park is a community event in Texarkana for the entire family. The gates open at 4 p.m. with all day entertainment for children including games and activities in the Ag Learning Center, Barnyard. There will be ice cream eating contests, photos, fair food and much, much more! Opening ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m with live bands to follow!

The Reading And Signing Of The Declaration Of Independence (Washington)

For Independence Day make plans to hear the Declaration of Independence read as was commonly done in the 19th century at the 1874 Courthouse Visitor Center. Afterward, sign your own “John Hancock” to a copy of the Declaration that you may keep and take home.

5th Annual Colt Fireworks (Colt)

35th Annual Pops on the River (Little Rock)

In its 35th year, this free community event is the largest Fourth of July event in the state as more than 30,000 are drawn downtown to the events surrounding Pops on the River. continues to focus on a family-friendly environment complete with fantastic food, fireworks, Salute to the Troops program, and music by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

Lake Norrell 4th Of July Fireworks Extravaganza (Alexander)

The Lake Norrell Area Association’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza will be held near the Lake Norrell Dam.

Fireworks Extravaganza (Heber Springs)

The 2018 Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Sandy Beach on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake. Gates open at 10 am for a fun-filled day on the beach before the festivities begin. Partygoers will arrive by boat and by car to enjoy food vendors, and live music beginning at 7:30 p.m. with the 106th Army Band Charlie Rock. At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays in Arkansas will light the skies above the lake, as thousands of breathtaking fireworks are choreographed to music broadcast on Timeless 106.1 FM KFFB. Beautifully mirrored in the lake’s surface, the show is equally magical whether viewed by boat or on the shore, and each year’s Fireworks Spectacular is better than the last.

Pangburn 4th of July Celebration (Pangburn)

Head to Pangburn, Arkansas for some good old-fashioned fun at the small town festival. Spend the day enjoying the parade, vendors in the park, live music, and top it off with a professional fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day!

4th Of July Island Festival (Bismark)

Take the whole family to DeGray Lake Resort State Park and make some great memories this 4th of July. Park interpreters will have a host of games and activities lined up to help you enjoy your time at DeGray. There will be a watermelon eating contest, water relays, an underwater treasure hunt and the fourth annual Freedom 5K Fun Run. Lodge Island will be the place to be with fun activities, good food, and great viewing locations for the evening fireworks display!

Independence Day Fireworks (Hot Springs)

Fireworks will light up Lake Hamilton at sunset to celebrate Independence Day. The fireworks will be shot from the middle of Lake Hamilton from barges located on the east side of Highway 7 at the first Highway 7 bridge. The rain-delay date will be Friday, July 6, at dark.

An Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration (Russell)

Presented by the Foothills Lane of Lights, the Russell Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration will feature something for everyone. Lake Ouachita State Park (Mountain Pine)

Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend at Lake Ouachita State Park. Recreational activities, crafts, and lake tours will be scheduled all weekend. Be sure to reserve a spot on the annual Brady Mountain Fireworks Barge Tour. Contact the park for tour ticket information and a detailed schedule.
