March is the start of all the things Arkansans love most about the change in seasons— festivals, outdoor events, St. Patrick’s Day and the (hopeful) departure of winter temperatures. Take full advantage of these Arkansas events happening in March 2024!
The Little Rock Marathon is known as a race with personality, loads of southern hospitality, caring volunteers, a running or walking tour through the scenic streets of Arkansas’ capital city and an impressive finisher’s medal. Even if you aren’t running this year, make plans to grab a group of friends or co-workers and line the streets in Little Rock and cheer on all the runners that go by. Most of the race options are already sold out, BUT it is still a fun day to head out and cheer the runners on in the lively atmosphere and enjoy going to one of Little Rock’s unique restaurants.

Vintage Market Days is an upscale vintage-inspired market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings and more. The market is a three-day event and is a unique opportunity for vendors to display their talents and passions in different venues and for shoppers to enjoy and appreciate their creations.

The Wye Daffodil Festival is 7 acres filled with approximately 65 varieties of daffodils and jonquils. This March, there will not only be arts and crafts and food vendors, but also daffodil bulbs that you can purchase. The vendors will be there on both weekends. There is no charge for this event, and the parking is free. This is the PERFECT place to grab some fun photos of the family and enjoy a day out in Arkansas.

The Mountain View spring Bluegrass Festival supports the Music Roots Program for youth in the Mountain View area. The festival will kick off with an All-Gospel Music Show Thursday. There will be afternoon and evening shows Friday and Saturday. Some featured artists for the 2024 festival will be The Seldom Scene, The Gibson Brothers, spring Street, Edgar Loudermilk, The Baker Family and Big Mill. As well as performances by Simply Southern Cloggers and the Music Roots Ensemble featuring some of Mountain View’s youth musicians. A schedule of performers and reserved seating is available at the Mountain View Bluegrass Association’s website.

Momentous is an electronic musical festival at The Momentary, an extension of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, featuring internationally acclaimed artists and local stars. Just a reminder that it is State Tournament time for high school basketball in Arkansas. If you live near one of these towns, be sure to secure your tickets, grab some popcorn, and witness the thrilling showdowns between high school athletes as they battle it out to make it to the BIG DANCE of the state finals the second weekend of March.
