The Little Rock Marathon is known as a race with personality, loads of southern hospitality, caring volunteers, a running or walking tour through the scenic streets of Arkansas’ capital city and an impressive finisher’s medal. Even if you aren’t running this year, make plans to grab a group of friends or co-workers and line the streets in Little Rock and cheer on all the runners that go by. Most of the race options are already sold out, BUT it is still a fun day to head out and cheer the runners on in the lively atmosphere and enjoy going to one of Little Rock’s unique restaurants.

The Arkansas Viking Festival happens this month at the Garland County Fairgrounds. Just a reminder that it is State Tournament time for high school basketball in Arkansas. If you live near one of these towns, be sure to secure your tickets, grab some popcorn, and witness the thrilling showdowns between high school athletes as they battle it out to make it to the BIG DANCE of the state finals the second weekend of March.
