Attend 14 Music Festivals without Leaving Arkansas

The weather is getting warmer, the grass is getting greener, and that means that it’s almost music festival season in Arkansas.

And once again, although there are some great ones all over the country, you don’t have to leave the state of Arkansas to get a good old-fashioned summer music festival experience.

We compiled a list of 14 music festivals coming up in the next few months to check out, all of the happening somewhere in Arkansas.

In the coming months, you can see artists like Galantis, Bleachers, Lil Dicky, STS9, Griz, Young the Giant, Kip Moore, Young Thug, Jeff Austin Band, Gillian Welch, Turnpike Troubadours, Josh Ritter, Gregory Alan Isakov, Mavis Staples, Del McCoury Band, Booker T. Jones, John Fullbright, Bobby Rush, Blackberry Smoke, Dave Mason & Steve Cropper, Railroad Earth, Trampled by Turtles, Sam Bush, Lettuce, The Wood Brothers, The Infamous Stringdusters, and lots, lots more.

Here’s our list of 14 upcoming music festivals you can check out without ever leaving the state.

Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain

Dates: April 20-22, 2018
Location: Mulberry Mountain, Arkansas
Tickets: Tickets range from $120 for a day pass to $262 for a weekend pass with a camping spot in the shade. To purchase, click here.
Lineup: STS9, Griz, Snails, The Floozies, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Emancipator, Figure, Jade Cicada, Michal Menert, Modern Measure, Muzzy Bear, Papadosio, Space Jesus, Sunsquabi, The Werks, Yheti, Zoogma, and several others. Here’s a full list.

Springtime of Youth Festival

Dates: April 28, 2018
Location: Washington County Fairgrounds
Tickets: Tickets for the general public will be available for purchase for $30 plus taxes and fees at noon on Friday, April 13, through the Walton Arts Center box office, online, or by calling 479-443-5600.

Arkansas Brewgrass Festival

Dates: April 29, 2018
Location: Washington County Fairgrounds
Tickets: Tickets are $7, on sale here.

Byrdfest 16 Music Festival

Dates: May 4-5, 2018
Location: Byrd’s Adventure Center
Tickets: Ticket information to be announced.

Location: Downtown Little Rock, Arkansas
Tickets: Tickets range from $40-$55 for a weekend pass or $150-$450 for VIPs. Click here to for more.

Eureka Springs Blues Fest

Dates: June 14-17, 2018
Location: Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Tickets: Tickets typically range from $10 for a one day Sunday pass, to $135 for a VIP experience.

Riverfront Blues Festival

Dates: June 22-23, 2018
Location: Downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas
Tickets: Admission is $15 per day $25 per weekend. Kids 12 and under get in FREE with an adult.

Music on the Mulberry

Dates: June 22-23, 2018
Location: Byrd’s Adventure Center
Tickets: Tickets range from $40 (early bird) to $99 (early bird VIP), and will go up as the event gets closer. On sale here.

Homegrown Music and Mountain Sports Festival

Dates: June 22-24, 2018
Location: Kessler Mountain Regional Park
Tickets: Admission is free for the music festival. There are entree fees for the various sporting events (bike races, disc golf competition, 10k, etc)
Lineup: Jeff Austin Band, Handmade Moments, Arkansauce, The Mighty Pines, George Porter Jr. and Runnin’ Pardners, Alaina Blake & Dylan Hawf, Jon Stickley Trio, Drifters Mile, Devon Gilfillian, Mudhawk, Roosevelt Collier, School of Rock Fayetteville

Spaceberry

Dates: July 6-7, 2018
Location: The Farm (Eureka Springs)
Tickets: Tickets range from $30-55, on sale here.
Lineup: Forgotten Space (Grateful Dead Tribute), Sean Canan’s Vodoo Players, Mom’s Kitchen (Widedspread Panic Tribute)

Peacemaker Festival

Dates: July 27-28, 2018
Location: Downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas
Tickets: Early-bird single-day passes are $39, two day passes are $45, and VIP passes range from $100-$149. Prices will go up as the event gets closer. Tickets are on sale here.
Lineup: Lineup to be announced. (*Note, the festival originally announced a lineup headlined by country artist Kacey Musgraves, but today announced that Musgraves will not appear due to a scheduling conflict. Organizers say a new headliner will be announced at a later date.)

Fayetteville Roots Festival

Dates: Aug. 22-26, 2018
Location: Downtown Fayetteville, AR
Tickets: Most tickets are sold out, but there are still a few chances to check out some music. A Wednesday night event at the Record, for example, are still available for $49. A Sunday main stage show is still on sale for $59, and there are late night shows at George’s also available. There are also typically plenty of free community events associated with the festival. Lineup: Gillian Welch, Turnpike Troubadours, Josh Ritter, Gregory Alan Isakov, Mavis Staples, Del McCoury Band, Booker T. Jones, John Fullbright, Mary Gauthier, Birds of Chicago, Flaco Jimenez, Kaia Kater, and lots more.

King Biscuit Blues Festival

Dates: Oct. 3-6, 2018
Location: Helena, Arkansas
Tickets: Three-day passes are on sale now for $70. They’ll go up to $85 on July 12. Here’s more info on tickets.
Lineup: Bobby Rush, Blackberry Smoke, Dave Mason & Steve Cropper, Six Strings Andrew, Grace Kuch, Little Joe Ayers, Big A Sherrod, Andy Coats, Lewis “The Gearshifter” Youngblood, and tons more. Here’s a link to the full lineup.

Hillberry Music Festival

Dates: October 11–14, 2018
Location: The Farm, Eureka Springs, AR
Tickets: Tickets range from $60-$180, on sale here.
