I live for the days when an abundance of candy corn hits the grocery shelves. It is the perfect little sugar cone of Halloween deliciousness and a no-brainer treat in my house. I’m always on the lookout for candy corn recipes before Halloween and the First Security cookbook totally delivered! Thank you, Chezney Stone, for submitting an easy recipe that satisfies my family’s love of candy corn.
Whether it’s a trunk or treat, a Halloween party, or just strictly a family treat, these Candy Corn Rice Krispie treats are a sure-fire hit.
In a large bowl, microwave on high for 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows and toss to coat. Microwave for 45 seconds. Stir in food colorings. Microwave for 45 more seconds or until marshmallows are completely melted, and stir until the mixture is well blended. Add cereal and candy corn and mix well. Press into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Cool completely, then cut into squares to serve.
