War Eagle Fair
An annual event since 1954, the War Eagle Fair originally grew as a place that craftsmen and craftswomen around the Ozarks could display their handmade items. It has grown to over 250 booths filled with all sorts of handmade items.
Exhibits include the following:
- Jewelry and Leather
- Metal and Outdoors
- Fabric and Clothing
- Wood and Furniture
- Art
- Glass and Pottery
- Kids and Baby
- Food
- Home and Kitchen Tools
- Folk Art and Home Décor
- Candles and Soaps
- Other Items
You can actually find a complete list of Exhibitors on the War Eagle Fair website. Personally, I’m really looking forward to every single category on that list.
The War Eagle Fair is located along the banks of the War Eagle River, across the bridge from War Eagle Mill.
Being that it’s mid-October, I’m sure it will be a beautiful time to visit the War Eagle area. Trees should be in full color, leaves arrayed in all their autumn glory. War Eagle Mill is a beautiful place to visit any time of year; I can only imagine what it will look like in the peak of an Arkansas autumn.
Details for Your Visit to the War Eagle Fair
Admission to the Fair is free, but there is a $3 charge for parking. If you purchase items while walking around the Fair and don’t want to lug them around with you, you’ll find a Package Checkstand that is free of charge – very convenient.
If you get hungry along the way, the Bean Palace Restaurant will be serving breakfast and lunch, breakfast starting at 6:30am. You’ll also find concession stands.

Again, the War Eagle Fair is October 16-19, 2014. Booths open Thurs-Sat, 8am to 5pm; and Sunday, 8am to 4pm.
