In honor of Veteran’s Day, First Security Bank is hosting a series on our veteran employees. We appreciate CSR/Teller Curtis Fowler for his service and sacrifice for our country. And for exhibiting Bank Better service for our customers every day!

Customer Service Representative/Teller, Little Rock
Dates of Military Service: June 2001 – January 2007
US Navy Third Class Petty Officer
Curtis Fowler served three years in the US Navy in Gaeta, Italy. While serving in Italy on the USS LaSalle, he received the Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom Service Medals. His duties included keeping supply records, working in the ship store and working on the Flight Deck Fire Party. He then served 4 years in Brunswick, Maine, where he received the rank of 3rd Class Petty Officer and was the assistant supervisor of the hydraulic department. During the winter, he supervised a crew of 25-30 Airmen for de-icing planes and plowing the airfield.
Curtis said, “I like the military. They opened their arms and welcomed me in. Now I work for First Security Bank, where I plan to stay until I retire!”

Curtis has been married for 11 years to his wife Amber. They have one son, Hunter, who Curtis says has changed his life in ways he will never understand.
