FOCAL Used Book Sale – Little Rock
It’s hot outside, but the deals are hotter at the Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries (FOCAL) Used Book Sale on the Main Library campus, 100 Rock Street, July 7-9. Basement sale hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 8-9. Funds from the book sale are donated to the Central Arkansas Library System and help provide programs at branches, book club kits, Summer Reading Club materials, and special Saturday programming for children at the Main Library.

Fleur Delicious Weekend – Eureka Springs

Stop the Presses! Opening Reception – Little Rock
The talented employees of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette return to Cantrell Gallery for the latest edition of “Stop the Presses!” – the art of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “Stop the Presses!” will continue through September 3 during gallery hours, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Saturday. Note: Cantrell Gallery will be closed from July 15 at 2:00 – July 18 at 10:00 am.

Tesla Fest – Hot Springs
Inventor Nikola Tesla will be 160 years old this July and we are celebrating it at Mid-America Science Museum with fun Tesla related experiments & demonstrations throughout the museum and in the Tinkering Studio. Join us also for our special Tesla Shows with Nikola Tesla himself! Tesla Showtimes for Saturday, July 9th will be at 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. The first 160 guests will receive cupcakes and ice cream in the Creekwalk Cafe while supplies last, and the 160th person to check-in on Facebook will win a special prize! The museum store will also have discounts on all Tesla related educational items on sale throughout the entire day.

River Market Celebrates 20 Years – Little Rock
The Little Rock River Market celebrates 20 Years on July 9, 2016! Family Fun activities include bounce houses, climbing wall, music, food trucks and train rides! The Farmers’ Market will open from 7a-3pm along with Garden Gourmet Chef Series from 9a-10a. Music with Rodney Block and the Big Dam Horns kicks off at 5pm! The American Red Cross will host a blood drive onsite from 9a-1p! Free to all!

Roller Derby Double Header Game 3 – Conway
Come watch the last home game of the season! The first game will start at 2 o’clock when Central Arkansas Roller Derby’s Queen Team takes on Enid Roller Girls. In the second game, at 4 o’clock, Girls Rollin in the South Roller Derby’s Breakneck Brawlers battle against Fleur DeLinquents. Shop free from 12 PM-2 PM. So come early to see all the beautiful merchandise for sale by dozens of vendors and grab a bite to eat at a food truck before the games begin!
