Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival and World Championship Steak Cook-Off (Magnolia)

Whether you live in Magnolia or not, the Magnolia Blossom Festival and World Championship Steak Cook-Off are worth the trip if you find a steak served with sides of festival fun, irresistible. The World Championship steak Cook-Off has made USA Today and Food Network’s list of the “10 Best Food Festivals.” The festival runs smoothly and in a purposeful way, meaning they have perfected the art of getting the steaks into the hands of those who attend the festival each year as quickly as possible. People start lining up around the downtown square as early as 4:30 p.m. to ensure they get their steak as soon as they can when the 6 p.m. lines begin handing out the flavorful hunks of meat.  For $20 a ticket, festival-goers get the steak, a salad, a baked potato and a roll. Some of the serving lines even provide a dessert. On average, 3,000 steaks are cooked each year for the World Championship Steak Cook-Off. To ensure everyone gets the most satisfying and tender steak, all steaks are cooked medium. The festival is made up of so much more than one meal. People can hear a classic rock band Friday night, participate in the qualifying 5K Saturday morning, listen to music all day Saturday, attend the 69th annual Art Show, spend time in the children’s area are or attend the boat and car show.

A little about .

There's a lot to celebrate in Arkansas. It's unique. Southern. Delightfully eccentric. Which is why we love every nook, cranny, cave and corner. In fact, some of our favorite things can't be found anywhere else. They're only in Arkansas. So we love them even more. The attractions we visit, the food we crave, the festivals we attend, the mountains we hike, the rivers we float, the stories we tell and the company we keep – it all adds up to one incredible state. And that familiar, meandering silhouette? Looks like home to us.
