New year’s eve celebrations quickly divide people into two categories – upscale or low-key. Rarely are there any folks in between. And Arkansas has celebrations to cover both groups.
If getting out and celebrating late into the evening is not your thing, there are other ways to celebrate new year’s eve.
- Host an appetizer party
- Play board games with family and friends
- Dress up and do nothing – get all dressed up and order takeout or have food delivered to your home
- Shoot off fireworks
- Drive around and take one last look at the Christmas lights
- Sit in on a NYE Meditation Session
- Host a movie marathon
- Pack in and stay overnight
- Get to bed early and get ready for a Jan. 1 First Day Hike event at an Arkansas State Park
- Spend time reflecting on your year and send some texts or cards in gratitude for all that has transpired.
- Build your 2023 Arkansas Bucket list
Whether you have an NYE event near you or like to keep it low-key, make sure you do something to mark and celebrate the end of a year and the beginning of a new one. Many are ready to get away from high gas prices, political turmoil and all the sickness of 2022, while others expect a new year with changes, beginnings, goals, and discoveries on the horizon. So, spend some time Dec. 31 reflecting on what has been and what is to come for you and yours.
