Sunny’s on Second in Downtown Bentonville

T

To start your morning or afternoon with a healthy meal, smoothie or snack, check out Sunny’s on Second in downtown Bentonville. Meet up with a friend, read a book, or get it to go.

Brighten your day.

Inspired by sunny Southern California’s holistic culture and combined with Bentonville’s embrace of healthy living, Sunny’s on Second may be the comfy spot you’ve been looking for.

This isn’t just your ordinary coffee, breakfast, and lunch spot. Sunny’s is a lifestyle experience. Not only can you get healthy food to go or sit awhile to linger over a meal, but Sunny’s experience offers more.

Sunny’s on Second hosts wellness events, provides community connect points, a retail shop dedicated to quality products, and a blog that is a “go-to hub for all things health and wellness wisdom.”

They organize monthly wellness events “with the goal of inspiring and empowering our community to embrace a mindful way of living.” They are committed to serving everyone and won’t turn anyone down if they can’t pay for a class.

Nutrient-dense food.

Sunny’s on Second calls itself a “health-forward restaurant.” Sunny’s may be the solution if you’ve been wanting to eat healthier but haven’t had the time to food prep, recipe gather, or shop for all the best ingredients.

There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian options that will please everyone. Order any All-Day item with a side salad and water from the Micro-Market.

Suppose I am at Sunny’s for breakfast. In that case, I will order the Sunny’s Special Taco (gluten-free and vegetarian) full of scrambled eggs, avocado, gold potatoes, white cheddar, and topped with pico de gallo. Scrumptious!

If you’re in the mood for something light, many options exist! From Grilled Cheese on house-made wheat bread to a house-made chicken curry salad sandwich. I highly recommend Crunchy Greens from the cold case. Mixed greens, radish, cherry tomato, cucumber, avocado, seeds and lemon vinaigrette. Perfection!

Or, order a house-made treat and a cup of Airship coffee and settle into getting some work done. Who says you can’t be efficient and healthy? They even have sparkling water on tap.

Please take it to go!

Smoothies are a great to-go option and you can drink the rainbow. I highly recommend the Kelly Green, a crowd favorite—jammed fun of kale, spinach, mint, blueberry, avocado, banana, and oat milk. Try the Green Light Smoothie with strawberries, bananas, spinach, kale, golden flaxseed, and oat milk if you want something lighter.

Sunny’s on Second has tons of to-go options. Besides everything on the menu, there is a market case of pre-made meals, healthy snacks, house-made bread and sweets, smoothies, teas, and coffees.

Now, there’s no excuse for us to eat healthy on the go!
