Tower Bar at The Momentary in Bentonville

S

Suppose you want to experience the best view in Bentonville from every direction. In that case, plan a trip to the Tower Bar at The Momentary in Bentonville, and have some of the best views and adult beverages you’ve ever sipped.

The Tower Bar’s claim to fame is “stellar views – better drinks,” and they may be right! I believe it is THE place in Bentonville to watch the sunset and soak in 360 degrees of stunning views.

Check out the Tower!

Located on the sixth floor of the Momentary Museum, you will enter through the South Entrance of the Tower (ages 21+ starting at 5 p.m.). If you’re a Momentary member, you and your guest can access the Tower Bar during the day to enjoy snacks, beverages and the view… or use it as “your place” to get away from it all, chill, or write that great American novel you have on your bucket list.

The 70-foot-tall space hosts social events, visual arts and performances. Even if you aren’t into adult beverages, it’s worth a visit just for the views. After all, you can always order a non-alcoholic drink, nibble on a charcuterie board, and soak it all in.

It’s all about the vibe.

This is a sexy space.

A comfy space.

A vibrant space.

And a welcoming space.

Early mornings in The Tower Bar are quiet, relatively empty and a great place to grab a coffee. Late afternoon, pop it to get out of the office, enjoy the view or do some work. Evening time is when it truly comes alive, starting at 5 p.m. Service is offered first come, first served. They’ll get to you quickly, and it’s worth the wait.

Oh, and don’t forget that the Tower Bar is THE place to watch the sunset! Come early and order from the west side of the bar and grab the perfect spot.

Enjoy the people-watching.

Besides the stellar views and incredible drinks, the Tower Bar is a place to see and be seen… yet it also appeals to those who prefer not to “see and be seen” with nooks and crannies to get lost in.

Weekenders tend to be a younger college crowd from Fayetteville. During the week, you’ll find Bentonville locations or those who come for a quiet date night. Weekends? That’s another story! Friday and Saturday night is shoulder-to-shoulder.

Let’s drink!

I got to chat with Jess Travis, Creative Director at The Tower, about what makes the Tower Bar’s drink offerings so spectacular. In a word, their drinks are fresh and gorgeous.

I have four drink recommendations for you that span all flavor profiles.

EL JEFE – Described as DECADENT. CITRUS. BOSSY. This is a profoundly sophisticated drink with a sweet depth – a heady sipper.

VERDANT SPRITZ – Described as LIGHT. HERBAL. WINTER SPICE. EVERYTHING NICE. Think citrusy and refreshing – with depth.

THE FOMA – Described as SWEET. RICH. WARM. INTENSE. DECEPTIVE. I have to laugh at the “deceptive” description. If you love lattes, this one’s for you.

THE PLAY LIST – Described as SWEET. FLORAL. LOVING. INSISTENT. This drink is floral and lovely – like a walk through the garden.

The first time I went to the Tower Bar, my husband and I went to happy hour for their $10 cocktails (Tuesday-Thursday from 5-7 p.m.). Be sure to mention that you want the happy hour drinks (we didn’t and accidentally went top shelf and top price).

If you’re adventurous, try one of the four drinks I recommended, or better yet – talk to Jess or one of the bartenders and ask them to create something special just for you. And then, sit back, relax and take in the views.
