October is a time of year that marks the turning of leaves, cozy nights around a campfire, hiking, smores and all things pumpkin! Visiting a pumpkin patch in October is a tradition for many families. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, several amazing pumpkin patches around the state have had to make the hard decision to take a break from hosting families this year.
We have compiled a list of Arkansas pumpkin patches that are open around the state that are anticipating your visit for some good family fun. Pack the camera and hit the road to enjoy a beautiful Fall day in the Natural State.
Peebles Farm
Pumpkins take over 60 acres of Peebles Farm, with 10 acres set aside for visitors to pick their own. This year, the pumpkin patch will be open Monday through Thursday for retail and wholesale pumpkins only. On the weekends, families can visit for pumpkins and activities. Please check their site and Facebook page for the latest on available attractions, hours and more.
Location: 100 Woodruff 249, Augusta. Take Highway 64, between Augusta and McCrory
Admission: $10, includes most attractions, such as barnyard, corn maze, cotton patch and admission to the pumpkin patch; children ages 2 and under free; hay wagon rides $3; train rides $1; pumpkins sold separately ($2-$60).
Dates/Hours: Sept. 22-Oct. 31: 2-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday is TBD, Saturday, 9 a.m. – 10 p.m., Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

Schaefers Pumpkin Patch
Families can take a hayride or a walk out to the patch to pick out a pumpkin. Activities include train rides, play area, pony rides, bounce house, corn pit, duck races, petting zoo and more.

Admission: Varies.
Dates/Hours: Sept. 26-Oct. 31: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

BoBrook Farms
Along with their usual attractions, BoBrook Farms promotes social distancing with a drive-thru scarecrow scavenger hunt and even bigger hay mazes and pyramids.

Admission: $7 admission includes all attractions, children under 2 free; pumpkins sold separately and range from $0.50-$12.

Roseberry Farms
Roseberry Farms is offering homegrown pumpkins in a pick-your-own patch, farm animals, hayrides and thrills on the tractor-pulled barrel ride, the Big Slide, a Hay Fort and more!

Ozark Corn Maze
There are 16 acres filled with mazes, corn cannons, a pumpkin slingshot, a barrel train, miniature donkeys, a combine slide and a large pumpkin selection at Ozark Corn Maze.

Hicks Family Farms
Hicks Family Farms is located between Cabot and Lonoke. When visiting, you can expect to find a pumpkin patch, corn maze, pony rides, a hayride, a barn full of farm animals, and more!

Pumpkin Hollow
When in Piggott, enjoy a pig scramble, corn mazes, hayrides, pony rides. The pig scrambles, where kids try to catch a slippery pig, and the zipline are reserved for weekends. Everyday attractions include farm animals, an interactive Kids’ Barn, the Pumpkin Hollow Express barrel train and a pond levee slide. Bring a flashlight and brave the mazes on Fright Nights, when other hair-raising attractions are also open, such as the Frightmare Farmhouse, Bubba’s Butcher Barn and Zombie Paintball Patrol.
Pumpkin Hollow will be following directives to mask, social distance, and clean/disinfect.

Admission: $10 for standard package, $15 for kids’ armbands (Saturday and Sunday only).

Farmland Adventures
At Farmland Adventures, you will find a pumpkin patch-pick in the field, a pumpkin patch- already gathered from the field, a corn maze, a kiddie (mini) corn maze, straw or hay bale maze, pig races, tractor-pulled hay rides, a pedal kart track, pony rides, petting zoo, farm animals and more!

Admission: $10-$12 (2 and under free with paying adult)

Motley’s Pumpkin Patch
A full day of entertainment includes a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, country store, tractor-drawn wagon rides and a petting zoo. Kids can climb on a hay bale mountain and slide back down.

Miracle Farms Market
There are pumpkins, decor, a hayride farm tour, cover crop maze, kids’ play area, train rides, a nature trail, and lots of baked goods in the concession stand at Miracle Farms Market.

McGarrah Farms
At McGarrah Farms, you can expect a fun day with a “mule ride” (barrel ride pulled behind a tractor), the opportunity to purchase corn stalks, hay bales, hand-painted crafts as well as all sorts of pumpkins and gourds. They offer night bonfires, a night hayride, and a night maze for groups of 30 or more.

Cox Berry Farm & Nursery
In business for almost 50 years, this family-owned farm is a Clarksville institution, allowing families to choose from many pick-your-own experiences ending in late fall with pumpkins. Children can walk and find photo opportunities along a trail lined with fun characters, decorations and a rope maze.
