Whether you’re introducing your kids to Arkansas history, seeking a way to beat the summer heat or simply looking for something new to explore, Little Rock offers experiences for every age.
Here’s a look at some of the best family-friendly attractions in the capital city.
The zoo is perfectly sized for families, making it easy to see plenty of animals without wearing out little legs. Historic carousel rides, train rides and interactive exhibits add even more fun to the visit. Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center

Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center

MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History
Located in the birthplace of General Douglas MacArthur, this museum tells the stories of Arkansans who served throughout American history. Nearby, MacArthur Park offers plenty of space for kids to play afterward. Or stay and visit the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.
Families can explore presidential history through exhibits, artifacts, and interactive displays at the home of the 42nd President, which houses his artifacts and official papers. Kids often enjoy visiting the replica Oval Office and learning about life in the White House. Beyond politics, it’s a great way for kids to learn about the President from Arkansas.
