Lynyrd Skynyrd (Little Rock)
The legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will be performing at First Security Amphitheater with their fiery slice of Southern style guitar rock heaven this weekend. King Biscuit Blues Festival (Helena-West Helena)
Founded in 1986, the King Biscuit Blues Festival is one of the nation’s foremost showcases of blues music. Held for three full days in October, tens of thousands of blues enthusiasts from all over the world converge on historic downtown Helena, Arkansas to hear stirring and uplifting performances of an American art form on the banks of the Mississippi River. Consisting of five stages (including the levee-top amphitheater “Main Stage”), a wide variety of buskers (street musicians), supplementary events (including the Flour Power 5k Run, the Tour da Delta bicycle race, and a Kansas City sanctioned BBQ Contest), the indescribable personality and culture of “Tent City,” food and arts/crafts vendors galore, and one-of-a-kind shopping in the eclectic shops and boutiques of historic downtown Helena, there is truly something for everyone.

Quartz, Quiltz, and Craftaz (QQC) Festival (Mount Ida)
The 39th Annual, QQC Festival takes place this weekend. It is three shows in one with additional gem and mineral booths as well as food vendors outside. There will be a kids crystal dig on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Fairgrounds. You can enjoy live music as you shop or eat. Admission is FREE, parking is $1 per vehicle. Attendees may enter a free drawing for door prizes or purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win this year’s featured quilt

2nd Annual Hot Springs Baseball Weekend (Hot Springs)
St. Louis Cardinal greats Ted Simmons, and Hall of Fame pitcher Steve Carlton will be the headline guests this weekend as Hot Springs celebrates its Second Annual Baseball Weekend. They will be joined by a fellow pitching legend, Al Hrabosky, as the city celebrates baseball and Hot Springs’ historic connection to the sport as The Birthplace of Major League Spring Training. Hot Springs is known as the place where Major League Baseball’s spring training began has gained worldwide credence. The Historic Baseball Trail makes it easy for fans to visit the spots throughout Hot Springs where legends such as Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson and Honus Wagner came to take the thermal baths, work out on our mountain trails and play teams from other Major League cities in spring practice games. The weekend’s activities will be free and open to the public.

Arkansas Rice Festival (Weiner)
The Arkansas Rice Festival is this weekend in the town of Weiner, AR. This is a free event. Rice History will be celebrated and promoted. CareLink’s signature event, Cupcakes for Goodness Sake, challenges amateur and professional bakers to create delicious unique sweets – and cupcake enthusiasts can come out to try them all. Back for it’s fifth year, Cupcakes for Goodness Sake will challenge bakers to serve up something spooky with this year’s theme: Halloween! Crawfordsville Hometown Festival (Crawfordsville)
The Crawfordsville Hometown Festival will be celebrating this weekend with fun & activities for all ages! There will be food, craft, and information vendors, a children’s area with face painting & rock climbing. There will be a covered Main Stage with covered seating, tables in shaded areas for eating convenience and visiting with old and new friends. There will be live radio broadcasting in the morning from the middle of Main Street and then the live band will pick up at noon, playing a variety of music until 4:00, when the Raffle Drawings will take place for several great prizes! There will be a KinderSongs Children Concert returning for great crowd interaction with the children & their folks in the morning. For car enthusiasts, one of the best Car Shows will be at the south end of Main Street with the competition.

El Dorado Film Festival 2019 (El Dorado)
The El Dorado Film Festival offers a curated selection of independent cinema to audiences. The film festival started as part of the South Arkansas Arts Center’s 50th anniversary in 2014. El Dorado Film Festival has brought filmmakers together and, in turn, created opportunities for those filmmakers to grow together. This three-day event, slated for October 10-12 at the South Arkansas Arts Center, is a celebration of independent cinema and the power of creativity.
Ticketing for this year’s festival will be limited to 300 tickets at $30 each, and every attendee has access to every event and screening all weekend long—no VIP passes or add-on tickets needed. Audience members will compete for a $1,000 cash prize if they see all the films and fill out a quick form after each screening.

Arkansas Coffin Races & Street Dance (Benton)
The Arkansas Coffin Races will kick-off with a Zombie Parade at 4:30 P.M. followed by the Arkansas Coffin Races at 5:00 P.M. The night will finish up with a street dance featuring the very popular band JUST SAYIN’. The first place coffin wins an overnight stay at the crescent hotel in Eureka Springs!
