Batesville: Christmas Shopping, Dining and Lights

L

Like many towns across America, once-thriving downtowns slowly faded away as highways rerouted around them and megastores became more convenient. People have begun to shy away from commercialism and seek a more personal shopping experience. Many towns, like Batesville, are taking the opportunity to revitalize their downtown areas and create a shopping experience that provides some of the essentials along with the unique and unusual.

This holiday season, we’re all a little more aware of our neighbors, and supporting local businesses is something more people seek. When we shop locally, we help families that we see at church, in the grocery store and whose children attend school with our own children. We keep the 100-year-old family business going and support a single parent trying to put their child through college. The shopping experience is more personal, friendlier and way less crowded than the big-box stores.

Batesville’s downtown area is thriving and the community has embraced the vibe of a bustling main street. Whether you are looking for the latest bestselling novel, a table centerpiece for Christmas dinner, or gifts for everyone on your list, you are likely to find it in Batesville.

Head into town to do a little shopping, grab a bite to eat and then head over to see the gorgeous holiday light display when the sun goes down. We’ve rounded up a list of many of Batesville’s shops and restaurants (there are so many more we couldn’t include) along with their holiday deals. Several shops are even offering free local delivery or shipping if you prefer to shop from home. Batesville is your one-stop shop for all of your holiday needs.
