GO! GO! GO! This Arkansas Weekend

Cancel your plans for the weekend because you don’t want to miss these amazing programs and events happening around the state. Have a fun time at the Frisco Festival or dance on down to the rod run. Find your own treasure at the rock show or watch the horses and wagons GO! GO! GO! at the chuck wagon races. Study the fascinating fan history or slip and slide in downtown Fayetteville. 33rd Annual Frisco Festival – Rogers

Get ready for the 33rd Annual Frisco Festival! We are hoping to make this year the best one yet! There will we have live music on both Friday & Saturday. We have an expanded kid zone that will include magicians, street performers and games. Southern BMX Stunt Show will be performing on Saturday. We will have dancing, food and craft vendors and a BBQ contest. There are still more surprises planned so stay tuned! This is going to be a fantastic way to end the summer!

42nd Annual Queen Wilhelmina Rod Run – Mena

See more than 200 classic and antique cars and trucks. Friday night show & shine on N. Mena Street. Saturday fish fry and games will be at Queen Wilhelmina State Park with a Saturday night street dance and concert on S. Mena Street. Vendors and concessions will be available at all locations.

Arkansas State Geologists present geological information on minerals and fossils of the state. This annual event is fun and educational for all ages. 32nd National Championship Chuck Wagon Race – Clinton

Secret Codes: The Language of the Fan – Texarkana

“Secret Codes: the Language of the Fan” is an interactive lecture on the history of fans and their use as a social weapon. The lecture includes vintage film clips and demonstrations. Participants will receive their own folding fan and have the opportunity to practice their fan-wielding skills. Refreshments provided and reservations required.

Amplify Fest is gearing up for their SIXTH annual concert event with 16 of today’s top Christian artists set to perform at the free, two day festival.  The festival is a live, open-air concert held on a 20 acre grass field on the property of Holland Chapel Baptist Church in Benton, AR August 25 –  26. The venue is easily accessible from Interstate 30, located on the south service road, next to the Saline County Fairgrounds and the Bernard Holland Baseball Park. Read more here.
