Chocolate Chip Cheese Football Perfect for Gameday

I

It’s time to call the Hogs once again! This Chocolate Chip Cheese Football recipe will wow your game-day friends every Saturday while they scream “Woo Pig Sooie.”

I found the yummiest chocolate chip cheesecake-style cheese ball in the cookbook and made it even more perfect for football season. Instead of making a ball, I shaped it into a football. While this is a great no-bake recipe to make anytime, it is a super-easy recipe that you can mix up and transform into the shape of a football for football season. Just paint on some laces and you have a crowd-pleasing winner.

Easy Peasy Pleasy Tips

  • Mix your cheese ball ingredients. Place on plastic wrap and form into the shape of a football. Cover with another layer of plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours, then add your mini chips to coat.
  • Pour the mini chocolate chips on top and press in. Pour more chips into your hand and press them into the sides.
  • I used cookie icing to draw on the laces. If you use cookie icing to make the laces, put it in the fridge first. Room-temperature icing melts right into the chocolate chips. Try cold icing to get the laces to sit on top. Or you can add white sprinkles or candy instead.
  • Since it’s football season, Pillsbury has cute, tiny, ready-to-make football cookies. Quick and easy item to add to your sweet treat charcuterie board.
