Prep the filling in advance, and when game day arrives, just fill the cups and bake. You’ll be the MVP of any football party or tailgate. Get ready to serve these tasty Jalapeno Popper Cups, and watch them disappear!

Easy Peasy Pleasy Tips

  • The original recipe called for mini phyllo cups. I tried different grocery chains and just couldn’t find them, so I improvised. I went with wonton wrappers and a mini muffin tin. You can find wonton wrappers in the produce section. Spray a mini muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray, add in a spoonful and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  • Another great option, if you don’t want to try your hand at wonton wrappers, is scoops tortilla chips. They will work great with this filling. Follow the original recipe and use scoops in place of the phyllo cups.
  • Love things spicy, add more hot sauce and keep the jalapeño seeds.
  • To save time on game day, mix up the filling the day before. Then fill your cups and bake when ready to serve.
  • This recipe is also great to bake ahead and to serve cold at a tailgate.
