Rice Krispie Treat Ghosts

L

Looking for an easy Halloween treat that kids and adults will love? These adorable Rice Krispie Treat Ghosts are the perfect homemade Halloween dessert! Made with classic crispy rice cereal treats and decorated to look like little ghosts, they’re simple to make, delicious, and so much fun for Halloween parties, classroom celebrations, fall gatherings, or a spooky afternoon with the kids.

One of my favorite things about fall in Arkansas, besides the cooler temperatures, is Halloween. There’s just something about this time of year that makes everything a little more fun, especially when you can add a homemade treat to the celebration. These Halloween Rice Krispie treats take just a little effort but turn an everyday favorite into something festive and fun.

And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good Rice Krispie treat? Turning them into cute little ghosts makes them even better!

Have I ever told you that my house has become the neighborhood’s unofficial trick-or-treat house—all year long?

It started with a sweet neighborhood kiddo who picked me a little bouquet of flowers and rang my doorbell at the beginning of summer. Of course, I had to give her a treat in return. Then the summer heat arrived, the wildflowers disappeared, and I thought that might be the end of our little tradition.

But nope!

She started drawing flowers on pieces of paper and bringing those to me instead. Every time she rang my doorbell, I had a little treat waiting for her. Sometimes it’s just a sucker or a popsicle, and other times it’s something homemade, like these Rice Krispie Treat Ghosts.

And those sweet little flower drawings? They’re all still on my refrigerator.

She’s absolutely precious, and word spread quickly around the neighborhood! Before long, more neighborhood kids figured out that my house was a place where they could stop by for a treat—even when it wasn’t Halloween.

So, when Halloween rolls around, making fun Halloween treats for kids feels especially fitting. These Rice Krispie Treat Ghosts are easy enough for little hands to help make, cute enough to bring smiles to any Halloween celebration, and delicious enough that you may want to make an extra batch.

After all, Halloween only comes once a year—but around my house, a little trick-or-treating spirit can happen any day!
