Hot Springs Music Festival
First-of-its-kind in concept and execution, the festival brings together over 100 international musicians each June in the historic spa town of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. For over 20 years, the Hot Springs Music Festival pairs world-class mentor musicians from major orchestras, chamber ensembles and conservatory faculties with exceptionally talented pre-professional apprentices–all of whom receive full instructional scholarships. The two groups play “side by side” in orchestral, chamber, solo recital, and choral repertoire. For two weeks, these musicians form a unique community, presenting over 20 concerts and 250 open rehearsals for music lovers from around the globe.

Lum & Abner Festival (Mena)
Don’t miss out on Mena’s signature event! There will be two full days of music, attractions, shopping, and events. This weekend, join the 7,000 festivalgoers who make the Lum & Abner Festival a yearly tradition. Live entertainment is a huge part of the event as it runs all day both days of the festival days. In addition to live entertainment, enjoy wonderful arts and crafts, great food, the excellent Lum & Abner car, truck, and motorcycle show, kiddie korner with playground and bounce houses, the Lum & Abner 5K Run/Walk, the Lum & Abner 3 on 3 basketball tournament, the Lum & Abner softball tournament, fishing derbies, the RE/MAX baby crawlin’ contest, the Flying Houndz Frizbee Dog Show and more!

Fenix Gallery — Our Universe Art Festival (Fayetteville)
This June through July, Fenix Fayetteville will present a visual and performing arts festival at The Fenix Gallery. Fenix will partner with the Walton Arts Center by bringing a community-based artist perspective to the theme of the 2019 Artosphere. Programming includes an art exhibition, installations, staged theater readings, spoken word, music ensembles, and community education workshops. The pinnacle project of the festival is the live painting of a revolutionary tridimensional mural based on a technique called anamorphosis. In addition to the live painting event, the mural will permanently transform the space and have a lasting presence and impact.

Sunset Cinema- The Greatest Showman (Russellville)
The Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce, which aims to enhance the quality of life in the Russellville area by bringing together members of the community, will present Sunset Cinema. Sunset Cinema is an outdoor movie theater which operates on the lawn of the visitor center. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the movie will begin at sunset. This is a free event.

Second Saturday Family Fun Day (Pine Bluff)
The Arts & Science Center Second Saturday Family Funday program offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music, or theater. Activities complement current art or science exhibitions. Activities are FREE and led by visiting artists, local art educators, and ASC staff. The theme this weekend will be a pedal-powered extravaganza, and they will use bikes to create art and harness the electrical power of kinetic energy.

Magic Springs Theme and Water Park Concert Series Presents: Chris Tomlin (Hot Springs)
Magic Springs Theme & Water Park continues their 2019 Summer Concert Series. The park will feature a total of 13 shows remaining at its Timberwood Amphitheater throughout the summer. With genres ranging from classic rock, country, Christian to contemporary, park visitors are sure to find music to their liking this summer at Magic Springs Theme & Water Park. This weekend Grammy Award-winning Christian artist Chris Tomlin will perform at Magic Springs Timberwood Amphitheater!

Free Fishing Weekend (Statewide)
The second weekend in June no fishing licenses are required for adults or children to fish in Arkansas. From noon Friday, June 7, until midnight Sunday night., June 9 no angler will need a fishing license or trout permit to fish anywhere in Arkansas. Residents and nonresidents may fish that weekend without fishing licenses or trout permits. Regulations for Arkansas waters apply, daily limits, slot limits, and length limits must be observed.
