Both are located in downtown areas and offer nearby sightseeing and dining options perfect for those who are looking for a weekend filled with activity. Sometimes though, when I need a getaway, I really like to get away from it all. I want to disconnect, unwind and social distance while still having the comforts of home. Camping is fun, but it requires a fair amount of work and we all deserve to be pampered every now and then.
Cabins can offer some of the creature comforts we have grown accustomed to while still allowing us to get away from it all. These nine unique cabins in Arkansas will provide a bit of whimsy and adventure on your next weekend away. Some are remote, and some are located near town. Whether you stay in or head out to see the sights is totally up to you.
Located just south of Mountain Home the White Buffalo Resort is an outdoor lovers’ dream. In addition to guided fishing tours and various boat rentals, they offer RV and tent camping, large group cabins and the affordable “Camper Cabins.” The Camper Cabins allow you to have a few of the comforts of home while still enjoying the great outdoors. Each cabin includes two sets of bunk beds and a double bed, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag or sheets. There is a small refrigerator, lights, electricity, and heat or A/C. Outside you will find two chairs on the covered porch, a picnic table, and a fire pit for your evening campfire. Keep in mind; there is no running water in the cabins. Instead, guests use the nearby campground restrooms and showers. There is a shared camp-sink area where you can wash your dishes.
