School has started and summer is winding down, but trust me, there are still a lot of lake days left this year. One of our favorite ways to enjoy the lake is by boat. Arkansas is home to over half a million acres of lakes over 5 acres in size. Many of those lakes have marinas and offer boat rentals.
Houseboats provide you with luxurious amenities and allow you to eat, sleep and play right on the water. Many of the houseboat rentals around Arkansas have multiple rooms, slides, and even hot tubs. Add in the convenience of having a full kitchen and bathrooms and you may never want to go home!
Houseboats can be pricy, but pontoons and speed boat rentals are available all over the state and allow you to experience lake life in a whole new way. Many will seat up to 12, so your entire family can cruise around the lake tubing and kneeboarding until the sun goes down. Pontoons and speed boats can often be rented by the hour, half-day, or full-day and prices are affordable when split between several people or you go midweek when rates are lower.
