Festive Cranberry Salad: A Holiday Must-Have

A

Are you looking to up your cranberry game this holiday season? Try this easy 6-ingredient Cranberry Salad! You won’t be disappointed. This recipe has a fantastic burst of flavors that come together fast and make the holidays easy. It is a make-ahead side dish that can be made multiple days in advance, so you can check one dish off the list early.

I was introduced to a very similar version of this cranberry side dish for the holidays years ago, and it’s been a go-to tradition every year since. So, I had to try this version of the recipe. Instead of the mandarin oranges, there were halved grapes. We dropped the grapes over the years, but I will tell you the addition of mandarin oranges is the way to go in this new version! Another layer we have added from the start is a topping. It’s a mixture of cream cheese and Cool Whip that you layer on top to take this recipe over the top. I followed this cookbook recipe exactly but if you want to take it to the next level, check out the topping ingredients below.

Optional Topping

  • 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tub cool whip

Using a hand mixer, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in cool whip until well combined. Spoon over set cranberry mixture and refrigerate until ready to serve.
